The untold story of the first Americans to fight and die in Vietnam

Do you want to know the real story of the Vietnam War? When and how it began? Why did America get involved in a war so far from its homeland? Could it have been stopped or was it inevitable?

A War Too Far is the true story of the OSS Deer Team and their mission to find America's allies - Ho Chi Minh and the Viet Minh in the mountains of Northern Indochina (Vietnam). That's right, Uncle Ho was once an American ally fighting against the Japanese Army that had invaded his country. The Deer Team supplied and trained the very rebels that the American Army would one day fight in the Vietnam War.

If you want a deeper understanding of the Vietnam War and the reasons behind it, read A War Too Far and the rest of The Airmen Series. You won't be disappointed.

The Airmen Series

No event in American history was, and still is, more misunderstood than the Vietnam War. It tore our world apart and made us question everything we once believed. The Airmen Series takes us back and allows us to examine the very beginning of America's involvement in Vietnam. The decisions. The promises. The sacrifices. The betrayals. Each novel is based on actual events and the characters are grounded in real people. The stories are full of historical details, action, and suspense. The series starts with A War Too Far.

FAQs

They are historical novels. All the books in the Airmen Series are based on actual historical events and real people. When possible, actual dialog from events is used, such as presidential speeches and notable conversations. To shorten the stories to a readable length, some characters are composites of several real people that participated in the historical events. Dates and locations are historically accurate.

It usually takes two weeks for the book(s) to arrive. Sometimes it's a little faster. Holidays can slow delivery by an additional two weeks.

I find that reality is often stranger than fiction. That's why I enjoy writing historical novels. I spent ten years researching the Vietnam War and traveled to Vietnam three times to talk with the people and visit the battlefields before I started writing the first book. I took thousands of photographs and wrote thousands of pages of notes which I used to create my stories. The easiest way to determine if something actually happened is to look it up in a good-quality encyclopedia or Wikipedia. I think you will find that 98% of what I write really happened.
